What it does
- Search the public web and return clean article and page content
- Fetch the full text of a URL you (or the agent) provide
- Run filtered and advanced searches (by domain, date, keyword) and optional multi-step web research
- Send your search queries and target URLs to Exa's hosted API over HTTPS
- Read your email, calendar, files, or any local or personal data
- Write to your device, run shell commands, or change system settings
- Access private or password-protected accounts (it is a public-web search tool only)
- Send anything beyond the search query, URL, and filter parameters you supply
