Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 July 2026

This policy explains what personal data AgentPod collects, why we collect it, the legal basis for using it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We have written it to be read, not skimmed. If anything is unclear, contact us at hello@agentpod.com.

Who is the data controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is UNICORNARY, a société par actions simplifiée (SAS) registered in France under SIREN 994 689 305, with its registered office at 8 rue de Douai, 75009 Paris, France.

For any privacy question or request, you can reach us at hello@agentpod.com. We will respond within the timeframes set by the GDPR (normally within one month).

What data we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum we need to run the service.

  • Your email address. This is the only personal detail we ask you to provide, and only if you choose to subscribe through the form on the site.
  • Basic technical and log data. When you visit the site, our hosting and infrastructure receive standard information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We also collect lightweight error reports so we can find and fix bugs.
  • We do not ask for your name, payment details, or any special category data. Browsing and using skills does not require an account or any personal information.

How and why we use your data, and our legal basis

Under the GDPR we must have a lawful basis for each use of your data. Here is exactly what we do and why.

  • Email list (legal basis: your consent). If you subscribe, we use your email address to send you new-skill alerts and launch news. You give this consent when you submit the subscribe form, and you can withdraw it at any time (see Your rights below).
  • Security and preventing abuse (legal basis: our legitimate interest). We use basic technical, log, and error data to keep the site available, protect it against abuse and attacks, and diagnose problems. We have balanced this interest against your rights and use only what is necessary.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Subscribing also creates a dormant account (please read this)

We want to be completely plain about this. When you subscribe with your email address, our system silently creates a dormant, passwordless account linked to that email at the same time.

This account has no password and stays inactive. You are not signed in to anything, and nothing changes in how you use the site. We do this so that, in the future, you can activate a full account (for example to save skills across devices or to take part in the hardware launch) using your existing email, with no separate sign-up and no need to migrate or re-enter your data.

If you would prefer not to have this dormant account, or you want it removed, just ask us at hello@agentpod.com and we will delete it along with your email. Unsubscribing or requesting deletion removes the dormant account too.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data, and we never will. We share it only with the service providers (processors) we rely on to operate AgentPod, and only so they can perform their function for us under contract.

  • Supabase, our database and backend host, which stores your email and account record. The database is hosted in the EU (London, eu-west-2 region).
  • Resend (Resend, Inc., United States), our email provider, which sends the welcome email and the weekly new-skill digest you signed up for. Transfers outside the EEA are covered by the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Our deployment and hosting platform (built and hosted via Lovable on an edge hosting provider), which serves the website and handles request routing and error reporting.
  • We may also disclose data if we are legally required to do so, for example in response to a valid request from an authority.

International transfers

We aim to keep your data within the EU or European Economic Area, and our database is hosted in the EU. Some of our processors may, however, process limited data outside the EEA (for example certain hosting, email delivery, or error-reporting infrastructure).

Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision by the European Commission or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional technical and organisational measures where needed. You can ask us at hello@agentpod.com for more detail on the safeguards in place.

How long we keep your data

We keep your email address and dormant account for as long as you stay subscribed, so we can keep sending you the alerts and news you asked for.

When you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove your email address and the associated dormant account. We may keep a minimal suppression record (so we do not accidentally email you again) and anything we are legally required to retain.

Basic technical and error logs are kept only for a short period for security and debugging, then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights under the GDPR

Whatever data we hold about you, you have the following rights. To exercise any of them, contact us at hello@agentpod.com. We will not charge you and will respond within the legal timeframe.

  • Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your data (the right to be forgotten).
  • Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability: ask for your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Object: object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw consent: unsubscribe or ask us to stop emailing you at any time. Every email also includes an unsubscribe link. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
  • Lodge a complaint: if you believe we have mishandled your data, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertes), at www.cnil.fr, or to your local supervisory authority.

Cookies and local storage

We use only strictly-necessary cookies and browser storage. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers, so we do not need a tracking consent banner for those.

  • Your skills list: a list of the skills you add is kept locally in your browser's localStorage so it persists between visits. It stays on your device and is not sent to us as personal data.
  • Error reporting: lightweight storage used to capture and report errors so we can keep the site working.
  • If we ever introduce analytics or any non-essential cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves, for example when we finalise our email provider or launch accounts and hardware. When we make a material change, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, let subscribers know by email. Please check back from time to time.
